Thanks Guys.

Hi Cid, Do you mean the CASE Backhoe or the CASE Excavator?? Both are parked right next to the asphalt plant. Theres also that blue backhoe in the backround behind the big conveyor for the Blue Star Ready Mix. I can get a close up of all 3 if you like.:)

  • The First 2 are of the CASE Backhoe. I got all 3 of the CASE Equipment when it came out last Christmas. The Backhoe is loading a Boley International Dump Truck that has wood sides added.

THat is a nice looking part of your layout, trucking terminals are pretty much a field you know about.

I use about a can a week I guess. Must be addected to the smell.

It hides glue residue and runs actualy.

Heres some pictures of the Mountain for the New River Mining Company. I have to add dirt, rock, brush and trees to it still.

Some more pictures of the New River Mine

The coal load in the hoppers is ground-up asphalt that I got from the street when they re-paved my street last week. I think it works great and I got enought to load plenty of hoppers.

  • The first one is on top of the coal flood loader as if there was a worker taking a picture of the mine.
  • Then are the Walthers 5-bay Coal Hoppers lettered for OMAX
  • And last is a view of the supports for the conveyor for the coal flood loader.

The mountain looks great can I just ask what you used for a base for the mountain like is it maybe newspaper all crumbled up then a layer of plaster cloth or something along that line?:eek:ops:
I like your inventory of machinery and building as well:thumb:

Thanks Lynn and Miles!!:) :)

Lynn, the mountains are made of stacks of 2" foam then layered with crumbled up 8 1/2" x 11" paper. I know it's not the best way to do it but it worked so what the heck. Now just have to paint, ballast, and landscape.:)

Hi Josh,

great pictures! Looks as if you are not only a truck lover, but construction machines too. May be you like these little machines, the Athearn Kennworth is to compare the size. All three are Kibri kits, but you realy need some space for them on the layout!

Tobias

Wow Gil, that looks awsome. I love the wheathering job. It looks sweet.:thumb: :thumb: Now I have to do that. O and I am going to my grandparents this week so I will finally get a chance to show off my layout :D :D on your forum:) :) . Sorry it has taken so long but I don't really get on the internet very often at my house but when I go to my grandmas and grandpas, Im on for a while.

Tobias, Those are so cool.:thumb: :thumb: I was thinking of getting those for a mine that I was going to do for the New River or Glacier Gravel Mines but it would just take up to much space.:curse: :curse: Nice Job on the Bulldozer, Off Road Dumptruck, and Front loader. They look great. Do you have a place for them in a mine or something, or are you like me and just could not stand to live without em'??

Miles, Did you happen to take any pics?
