Dons his super thick skin suit... Marco, can I have one too if I send you my addy???
Sure, but if you live overseas (I live in Germany) I would ask for the shipping fee (can be send as a letter, so it will not be very expensive).
WOW! THANK YOU!!!!
(I'll drop you a mail! )
Revell-Fan...................you kill me with this project.
Did you already sent one? In that case I didn't receive it. Maybe you should better use a Private Message instead.
Oops, wrong term. I meant PM, and I'll send it now!
To silveroxide: Thank you once again for the link to Lee Stringer's flickr album. It contains detailed construction plans of the life-sized hangar bay including the launch tubes. This allows us to create an even more authentic model. This info is so essential that you'll be credited in the final plans. Good job! :thumb:
Attached are some renderings of the CG model to show you the current state of some of the core elements. Stay tuned!
These new CG renderings look really good.
This is going to turn out to be better the I originally had thought.
I see that you added the launch tube entry port from the hangar bay. Looking good. Over at resinilluminati, there is a build thread on that launch tube. Your welcome on the Lee Stringer info link. I wish I had that info when I built mine. Here is a photo of my single hangar bay. http://www.zealot.com/forum/album.php?albumid=116&pictureid=887 The tools come from the epson site and reduced to fit with jaybats viper.
Revelle-Fan, those Renders are awesome!!
Hey, it looks great! :thumb: I love it!
Hangar bay updates
Thank you all for your comments and encouragement.
This is what I have done so far:
Launch tube doors fleshed out and ready for the launch tubes.
Tool room installed.
And the massive main hangar doors.
A first look at the launch bay.
Launch / Landing control station in place (still without a ceiling ;-) ).
And a first view of all current elements put together. Next will be the launch tubes, landing bay and the rest of the battlestar around it.
sign1 Just kidding!
This is gonna be a 13.8 square feet / 1.3 square meter monster. Now I need a drink!
Does anybody know the name of the font they used on the planes and the hangar bay and where I could get it? I have attached a sample. I tried whatfontis.com but the results were negative. It would be great if anyone could help me.
Try this one. It may be of some interest. http://www.sostars.com/battlestar-galactica-font/
These renderings look FAN(FRAKKING)TASTIC!!!
Hanger Bay 13 is the perfect name for this project.
Separate names with a comma.
