    I have just bought a Marklin 2-6-0 #8895 Class 74.

I need to open it up to lubricate it. This seems hard to do. Can anyone advise?

It's in such nice shape I'd hate to do any damage to it.

    Welcome to The Gauge

Look down the stack, it may have a screw there. Look up between the steam cylinders as well. Another place to look is the back of the cab and between the drivers. The screws that hold the driver plate in may also hold the body on.

Thanks Bob ! And thanks for the welcome.

Actually it turned out to be none of those things. There was a clip holding it in at the front.
I had to ease the body back from that and away I went.
Exactly the opposite manner from the other tank loco I have were you push it up from the back. Oh well.... :)
