N scale sound decoders

I realize that this might be better on the DCC forum - but as it's specifically N-related, I thought I'd put it here!
I see Prodigy/MRC advertize their N-sized sound decoders - are there others out there? Digitrax's website seems only to show HO scale ones?
Anyone with experience of these sound decoders - are they any good???

I was hoping you would say steam. I don't know of anything other than MRC. Have not used one so I don't know how well they work.

I have two Kato SD70M's with MRC sound decoders in them. For the most part they work fairly well however they do sound better if you add the BLMA fans to allow the sound to escape sufficiently. One of the decoders does give me stalling problems every now and then, but a shim has fixed this problem. I have not messed with CV's yet, but once I do I will be able to control the sound and speed control a little better.

I am using lenz, not NCE or Digitrax so reading the CV's are little trickier than most DCC systems. However, I have not read the CV's on the MRC decoders yet.
