That would be sweet! We already have Jordan spreaders....These would be nice too even in static display...
Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to kitbash something like that. Maybe take a flatcar, mount a battery, motor and revolving brush in the front of it and push it slowly down the track. Prototyping would be the next step providing that you could get photos, plans, etc. Even follow it with a tank car spreading wet water, glue and so on. Completely automate track laying. Make those LPBs earn their keep.
