Garage sale special. The 0-4-0 engine is 13" long with a 2" driver spacing. Says The Ives Mfg. Corp. Bridgeport Conn on the bottom. The tender is pop rivited metal. Same wheel spacing. Engine body looks homemade to me. I'm an HO kinda guy and know little about these larger engines. Any info or company history would be great!

drummerlarry;

If you have access to the latest edition of Railroad Model Craftsman (November) there is an article that begins on page 118 that may be of interest to you. On 119 there appears to be a picture of your "engine." They identify it as a Varney "Docksider.

Hope this helps you out.

Thanks

Thanks alot Bob! I'll try and get a copy soon. Going out to find some track this weekend, so I can see how it runs. The gears turn well and the contact looks OK . Never know what you can find at someones garage sale! Thanks again. Larry
