My Town, Aurora, MO

I though it might be fun to post some pictures from around my town Aurora, MO. It's where the Frisco (then BN, now BNSF) and the MNA (white River Division of the MoPac) cross. It's an old rail town with several feed mills still being serviced by train. Fred

Track "shanties" on BNSF and a switch which I think belongs to the MNA.

Thanks for the pictures - I'm in the planning stages of my grain terminal for my layout now - I love seeing things from around the midwest to add to the mental mish-mash that keeps gurgling through my brain.

Another angle, I hope it comes through on the pictures just how big this old mill is.

Dash10,
Do you have a larger version of that CNW 175147 hopper? I have a model of one that is real close in number and would like to use your picture to help weather it. Nice set of pictures, keep them coming.

Thanks jon, that was really why I took it Tyson. :eek:ops: Here's the back of one of the oldest buildings in town. There is a narrow alley (the truck in picture 1 was in it) the MNA (old MoPac), then the BNSF(old Frisco), then the empty cement lot. Nice job of weathering on them buildings. The other side of the building is nice brick storefronts (mostly).
