Hello everyone, just wanted to show you all what ive been working on for the last couple of days. It is an A-B-A set of UP GP9's. I still need to do a few detail things on them and add the railings to the B unit. Any comments or suggestions are always welcome. Thanks for looking!

It is usally some type of glue. I used elmers white glue to hold down the roadbed and then more elmers white glue for the track. Many different ways to do this.

Steve, they look great----nice paint job. Are you going to weather them a little? That will be a very powerful looking consist. Never saw a "b" unit like that before----John R

The UP was the largest user of GP9Bs. PRR also had some, which passed to PC and CR. BN rebuilt some GP9s to GP9Bs, and BNSF now owns them. The rebuilds look different: they don't have the porthole, among other things. You might be surprised how many hood B-units existed.
