Four Marx hudsons
Here NYC Hudsons await the mornings work at Frankford.
Who's the manufacturer of your 2-6-6-2's? Great looking Engines!
Those are Mantua 2-6-6-2's. I just wish I had a better place to run them. The Switching layout is limited. Back and forth. Up and down. Over and over.
That's a great collection of engines...and a sharp looking layout and panels..!! :thumb:
It's a nice layout. A very nice layout.
Pennsylvania railroad locos fill Frankford yards. On the old layout.
Here stored Pannsylvania RR locomotives fill the Frankford yard on employee appriciation day. Seen in the side shots are H's,L's,I's,K's,M's,and N's.
Truly a scene to make N-scalers envious...
Oh WoW.....Steam heaven..!!!
re new layout
I have done some work to a roundhouse turntable durama to be added to the layout.
Enlarging the layout.
I have gotten tired of a 16' X 2' switching layout. I have stripped the old boards and gotten rid of them. I have built all new tables, 5 of them. All surface material is new. you can see the opening to the center area. This will be closed by a lift out section.
Looking good Frank, that's definitley going to be a lot more room to run those Steamers.
re new layout
Thanks for the coments Jim.
** Here is where the layout was when I started on it today.
10 11 09
**At this time my main lines track work is done. No wireing has been done yet.
How do you plan to do the wiring?
The wireing will be block. I'm not a DCC person. Just a old fashion DC layout.
Shaping up pretty good Frank. Won't be so hot up there now. Our computer room is in the finished attic room similar to your train room, very comfy now.
Jim. My wife has picked out drapery to surround the layout table. I am surtain that I will be given the task of installing it.
Today the wireing underneath the layout is done and the storage shelf for the removal section is done.
PS. See you next saturday at the show in East Rutherford NJ.
Nice job Frank real neat wiring. Make sure your wife dosen't trap you in the middle of your layout, of coarse that wouldn't be a bad place to be HUH.
Jim I'll have no problum with that.
PS. See you next Saturday at the train show in East Rutherford NJ.
