    Dear Friends,
the material off all the models, I will show you here, is silver paper 130 g/m².
My first try at this method was the Mig-15 from KEL.

a handicap of this paper : You can´t print white color on it with an inkjet- or laser printer.
thats why I changed the design of the following model a little bit.

The upper side of the fuselage is normal white paper.

The model is a Ilyushin Il-14 from the german MDK-Verlag in scale 1:50

the next plane is a testbuild (whitemodel) of the L-29. It´s from "Illustrierte Reihe für den Typensammler"

Excellent builds and photos. Can you tell me something about the technique. I have had difficulty with ink smearing on silver paper. Did you coat it with a covering? Also the glue. What do you recommend for silver paper.

Thanks for sharing. The planes are all great, the Il-14 is special.

Very nifty planes! My only foray into silver paper was to learn how hard it is to work with - you've certainly mastered it!

thank you for your pleasant words, It´s not so difficult to work with this silver material, but the best: You must not thinking about coloring white paper edges.

Today I show you two of my last models, both are AN-2 in scale 1:33 from MDK-Verlag (Mitteldeutscher Kartonmodell-Verlag) in germany.

Man......... that is good work! I have always wanted an AN-2........... for real, that is the closest thing to an old ford pickup truck you can get with wings on it! Guess I have to settle for a model:oops:

    Antonov AN-2 Model

    Einfach wunderschön, Agrarflieger!

You have built a long line of little masterpieces. I am especially fond of the Antonov AN-2 model, the biggest biplane in the world and still in production in Poland, by the way. It is a STOL plane, requiring only a couple of hundred meters to jump up into the air.

Last summer in June, we had this impressive visitor to a EAA Fly-In in Stockholm - he preferred to land on the bumpy grass field beside the tarmac runway:

I think I will try to get that silver paper (and also light gray) to try it out . . . Thanks for sharing your fine pictures.

    All the best,
    Bengt :D

    Hallo Godert,

Viele GruBe und wilkommen ins Forum. Schone Flugzeuge. . .especially Gabriel's MiG-17. It looks great in silver.
I have this model in Chinese colors, but may have to try it in silver.
