If the 43.5 million(US$) judgement in a US Federal Court in Michigan against LIONEL stands up, it is likely LIONEL LLC will become MIKE's TRAIN HOUSE.
The civil judgement secondary to LIONEL's collusion with KOREA MODEL TRAINS, to steal and misuse MTH's tooling drawings, to produce the LIONEL limited run articulateds is being appealed.
You will remember TEXACO going under because of a similar(if much larger) civil judgement , but LIONEL LLC, does not have the resources to pay legal fees, this
judgement, and stay in business under the same partners.
So it should be, and so far as I know there is no attempt to put any of the bums in jail, which means they will only suffer monetary losses.
The Koreans for their part have convicted and jailed four of the KOREA MODEL TRAINS , principals.
