MRC Nscale 2-8-4

I came across at a flea market an 2-8-4 N-scale Berkshire loco made in Germany for the Model Rectifier Corporation, Sante Fe # 3790. At $5 it seemed to good a deal to pass up!! Does anybody have any information on this loco? Who was the German manufacturer? How old is it? It it a "keeper"? How tight a curve can it handle?
