From the CN Lines Special Interest Group:

What has been "rumoured" earlier is unfortunately true.

Our friend and highly-valued comrade in the cause of the CN Lines
SIG, Dave Lisabeth, was killed in an on-duty railway accident at
CN's Sarnia ON yard at approximately 8:45 AM yesterday (November 22,
2006).

Dave was a major contributor to the CN SIG. His work providing CN data sheets to modellers was outstanding and his untimely loss will be felt throughout the Canadian model railroading community. He was 42.

Very saddened to read this , Please pass on my condolences Val.

RR is a dangerous job, having a son on the CPR and seeing all the safty notices and precaution`s these fine workers have to know about , is a worry for families .

This seems like a good place to ask a rather unusual question.

Does anyone know if the late Dave Lisabeth posted here (on "The Gauge") using the handle "CN 5623". I am assisting his widow Diane in my capacity as Chairman of the CN Lines SIG (and Dave's friend).

If you want to keep your answer confidential I can be reached directly at sswain@mts.net.

Stafford, I just did a search of our member's list - there is no CN 5623 listed. Please pass our deepest sympathies to Diane.
