Modular layouts electrical connections

My layout is an "L" shaped shelf type consisting of three modules.
I'm at the wiring stage and sought to use "Centronics" connectors. To my dismay, I find my supplier has discontinued the ones I wanted.
I hit upon the idea of using "Scart" plugs and sockets as used to connect VCR's to TV's.
They are sturdy, 21 pin in-line connectors with covers, each pin capable of carrying at least 1.5 amp, are robust and above all... inexpensive! The solder tabs are large enough for even those who are inexperienced at soldering to connect wires to without hashing them.
They promise to be just the ticket for my layout connections.
Check them out at Radio Shack, they might be just what you need.

Here is another place to get cheap power connectors. They are called Tower Electronics. www.pl259.com They mainly supply power and RF connectors to Ham Radio Operators. They also attend many Ham Radio Swap Meets across the USA. Enfact, you can find alot of power connectors at swap meets like this for under a dollar!
