i found thie little gem the other day and had to start it, despite having a another big project going. It has 8 pages of parts, and 2 instructional diagrams. i started withe cockpit.not complicated but looks pretty decent.

did a spot of frame work. i added some fishing weights(the black objects) as it will have a nose high configuration when done.

Found it! Thanks for the heads up.
I frequently visit the SPI site...but somehow, I didn't notice the Huckebein in their offerings. I'll be sure to get that when I get back home next week.

You are a multitask man. Two buils, two posts.
I like the way you work.

more skin. the nose is a little tricky still working on that.

ive found one puzzeling sorta problem. the kit has really good internal support.
    ta 002.jpg

except for the blue stripe. there is no support here to tie in the rear.the tail has a lot of support and the front. but nothing between the two.

Very nice! I also like the abundant fuselage for the missing ones you've just mentioned.

Anyway, I have a question. (See attached image)
I noticed that there are some glue tab placeholder patterns on the fuselage former.
Is that part of the model's design?

no. i use scrap or discarded cardstock to laminate the formers, instead of wasting good stock.

i think he my have left that spot open as when i tested the rear formers to the fuselage it actually feels to be pretty sturdy.

Hehehe... I thought that at first.
But then I noticed that the pattern was centered squarely in the former. That's why I thought it was a placemarker for glue tabs. :D

well, this tail is a little more complicated than i thought it would be.some of the skin overlaps eachother. the exhaust part has no means of supprt so ittle have to be attached to the skin.

thw support problen i mentioned earlier ,turns out that area is solid.

i figured out that i made a mistake on the rear. i said the top and bottom skins overlap. they dont. the back 3 bottom strips are to be formed into rings then the uppers mated to them. to late for me to fix the one i did. the instructions werent real clear on this point. ill show what i mean later on.

heres the "elbow" joint. it gets glued to a tab peice.
    ta 004.jpg
    ta 005.jpg

and this is the rear. these are the rings i mentioned.
    ta 006.jpg
    ta 007.jpg

and this get attached to the rear.

heres the exhaust attached.the fit was not real good because of the overlap peice i did wrong.
    ta 001.jpg

and then the 2 fuselage fillers.
    ta 002.jpg

    and the vertical stabilizer
    ta 003.jpg
    ta 004.jpg

now its back to resolve the nose.
