Mantua or What?

A few weeks ago I was at a train show and a dealer had several Mantua 2-6-6-2 logging locos, new $120. Today I saw an advert. in Model Railroader by a mail-order dealer for "Mantua Classic" 2-6-6-2 locos for $79.95, also new, in fact so new they were not yet available. Has some one taken over the old Mantua line? Are they the same or just "similar"? What is the scoop. I ask because I was getting near the point of justifying the buy. But $120 does NOT equal $79+ in my math. Dave

I don't know what the story is, but that first link says they're DCC ready, so they are at least updated to some extent.

Yes David, Model Power bought the old Mantua line.
