Not railroad related, but the detail that this camera takes......WOW!
Had some pics e-mailed from a friend, who's friend's grandaughter works at NASA.

Hmmm...Any one gotta a couple of thousand I can borrow?

A couple of thousand???? Remember, these are the guys that spend a couple of thousand just for a $5 hammer, a toilet seat for up there cost hundreds of thousands... Do you really think the government would spend less than a couple of million for a camera like this?wall1 wall1

I'm sure you can get that same detail from an $800 DSLR purchase. You have to remember that shots in space SHOULD turn better because, well there's not pollution to clog it up! I've been able to pull some that clear with my Sony DSC-R1, which is not quite a DSLR, but almost there. I cost me a whopping $750.
