Want to work up a new NTrak module but need some additional pictures of the "Sessom's System" for hoisting and raising log cars on an incline track. Just purchased "Willamette's" Iron and Steel Works Logging Machinery book. (Super book by the way). Any one familiar with the Sessom's system? Looking for the rigging on the car itself and the manner the line is feed onto sheaves that keep the line from dragging on the ground. There are pictures of the system in the book nothing close up to show rigging. It looks like the line is feed across the front end, or downhill end of the car. There seem to be extensions that guide the rope into sheaves alongside the track to prevent the rope from dragging on the ground. If I am looking at this right, the car is nothing but a big pulley on wheels.
