    Interesting technique dk. I had tried this once (didn't work near
    as well for me!) but I did try working with Red River silver paper.
    It is a little thin, but with careful use, it can work well.

    Kudos on your build and your success with the painted paper. That
    concept could open up a whole new area with some custom paint

    Great idea........... now I can finally justify getting a laser printer :lol:

    No kidding.......... that looks GREAT! I really can't wait to se the finshed model! Good Job so far!

    The metal look to the plane is great! and your build makes it look even better.

    Nice build and a very interesting technique with the painted silver paper. This paper looks as good as any other commercial silver paper that I've seen. Now if we can figure a way to print it with ink jet.

    Did you remove all coloring before you printed the parts onto the painted paper?

    Hi there,
    No I did not remove coloring. I printed all pages on black and white laser printer first. Then I used decals printed on mailing lables to attach stars and markings.
