KC Brakes vs AB Brakes

I had this info once and seem to have lost it. What is the difference between these two systems and what would be the time period for each?

Here's some info on air brakes in General. From what I read, anything after 1933 are AB brakes.

According to my RMC Raildates chart, K-type brakes were introduced in 1906. There were several variations of them, but all were outlawed in interchange service in 1953. The AB brake was introduced in 1933.
