Kato Paint Stripping

I know ther have been a number of topics on stripping paint. I have successfully stripped a few life-like and bachmann shells using ELO (Easy Lift Off) and was in the process of aquiring a couple of Kato units to repiant to Huron Central and Via. While searching on ebay for the various units I came across someone who has a bead blasting service for Kato units.

Is it that difficult to take Kato paint off that you have to pay someone to bead blast them.

Are there that many pitfalls trying to strip the paint using "normal" methods.

The only Kato shells I'm aware of are plastic. Bead blasting would probably eat em' right up. You don't normally do that except on metal parts. I always use brake fluid.
