Kato AC4400CW on 9" radius

I have many 9" radius's on my layout. I have been told that I will have trouble with using these units with such a layout. I'm looking for some feedback from people to see if anyone has run these units on 9" raduis, and what trouble they have had, or any trouble at all.

I don't want to spend that amount of money and just have a very nice locomotive to look at, or to cause myself lots of headaches.

All feedback is much appreciated.

you will definitely have problems on such tight radius. also your trackwork really needs to be perfect. the ac4400 have low-profile wheels and will derail at any imperfection.

I didn't know they had low pro wheels, but I would say you might have problems on that tight of radius too.

...change the AC4400CW wheel sets to -9 wheels (you can also change the whole trucks if you like) and the engine will running better on your tight curves...
