As the story goes, about 10 years ago, this line was up for abandonment, and a wealthy fellow bought it for his son. Now it runs a grain train or two every day. On older maps, it's shown as Norfolk and Western, but modern maps show it as the title implies. N&W bought out the old Wabash line, and of course was absobed into NS later. Yup, them's wood crossin's.

I must admit that I still like the old wood prairie giants that have been replaced by these more modern type grain handlers. Must have been quite a wind to take that roof off. Now if only my daddy had bought me a railroad like that!:rolleyes:
