I'm having troubles with it. The drive rods on the right side will not stay attached and every once in a while the wheels jam when the drive rod screw gets stuck. How can I fix this without risking locking it up permanently?

Fixed it, I just hadn't tightened the screw well enough.

I think the previous owner may have messed up when taking it apart and putting it back together. Are both traction tires supposed to be on the same side? sign1

The Riv's are some of my favorites. My 3 truck Heisler, converted for Marklin digital, is beautifully detailed and runs like a champ. Glad you got it going. bob:wave:

Yeah, the old Rivarossis could HAUL. My Big Boy, 36 NMRA standard 50' boxes at a steady speed of about 40 scale MPH, up and down hills.

The FEF-3 is too new to say. I haven't had a chance to actually really test it. Does anyone have an answer on the traction tires?

I have a FEF that Rivarossi made just before they went out of business. It has one traction on each side. It runs very smoothly but the front truck likes to jump the track.
