I was woundering if Traxxas TRX 2.5 racing engine was worth using in a truck.

I have heard that it breaks alot, that it can't handel its own proformence, and that it is even harder to toon, is this true???

What experience have you have with your TRX 2.5???

I just purchased a TRX 2.5 for my nitro rs4 2, but I think I am going to put it in my truck for more power and better offroad speed.
I haven't had any problems with the engine. I broke the engine in with 6 tanks of fuel and only one gallon of fuel is been through it. It is so much faster than the stock .15fe engine. I heard the trx 2.5 engine has about 1.3 hp or more and reaches 40,000 rpm. The only problem is that my rubber tires on the car get eaten alive by the power, so i need to find a paved road nearby to drive.

  5. i would say that traxxas engines are POS... hard to tune.. if you are expert, then i guess it will be ok, but traxxas engines are NOT for newbies
