Intro, WW2 monitors and CHANT

Hi,
I'm Nick,
I stumbled on this forum researching WW2 British monitors, I found the Abercrombie thread, which has appeared to have stalled. I'm also interested in a chant channel tanker. want to build in balsa but card models will work, scale of 1/144 for model warship combat.

I've since discovered they are also called Empire F.... coasters

Interesting. Never heard of them before but that makes it all the better learning about them. We have some excellent shipbuilders here. Have a look at the Ships subforum. Should be a big help to you. And welcome! Glad you found us.

Welcome aboard, Nick! If it builds in balsa it'll build in card. As a plus, the material is easier to find, cheaper, and you can craft some really superb graphics.
