Looking at Mr. Bizer designs I decided to have a go at doing one myself.
Having solved the problem with nose-cones and giving models a "cartoonish" look he inspired me to start this project.

I'm starting with these drawings :

After some copy-paste and some drawing in paint :

    The first results :

This is what I have so far, I still have to "fine-tune" some parts and then start on painting the model.

This is what I have in mind :

It's a Gatekeeper at Gilze-Rijen (Netherlands), although it has the number K-3066 it is original the K-3003.
Having seen these planes a lot as a kid it is my favorite and there are not so much models around.

I'm going to have a busy weekend so updates will follow after...:thumb:

    Thanks Dragos !

I've been following you guys silently for some time now... sign1

I love what Paragon does and I also have seen your home-page :thumb:

Buying new cartridges for my printer broke the silense and got me back in bussiness !

(btw, building paragons f-86 sabre right now  )

O, and I'll be sure to make a uncoloured version for you so you can paint it anyway you like !

Yes, it will be a free model and I will include a white version.
I'm planning on starting a website for my models, but I have to get into that...

Ok, the weekend is over so it's back to work !

    Step 1:

I rotated the sideview in order to connect it with the topview :

    Step 2 :

The intakes, copied from the sideview :

    Step 3:

The wings, the most easy part I guess :

    Step 4:

"Cleaning" the parts panel lines, the picture on the right is the bottomview and will only be used a reference for the panel lines

    Triop,

Maybe you could separate the windshield-cockpit and fuselage top extension from the lower-main fuselage and give the former part a more round shape to achieve even better result in realism for the final model. Just a suggestion....

I've been thinking about it, and I'm working on it :

Don't know what to do about it yet....

I've been building test version #4 today...and it "crashed" during the photo session ........wall1

The parts almost fits perfect now and the coloring needs some changes.

Btw, the photo session was a complete disaster :

I don't have more time this week, so I think the next update will be in/after the weekend.

(............did anybody noticed that the color-scheme on the original photo is inverted ????....................

    Ok, next update :

I've made some changes in the model and made a different version.
All I need to do now is re-draw the nosegear and then it is ready for upload.
(I hope to do that before friday)

With Triop's permission I have re-coloured his F-5 in line with the Swiss Air Force "Patrouille Suisse".

Simple colour design but very effective.

    DSCF1793.jpg

    DSCF1794.jpg

    DSCF1792.jpg

I have kept the detail very very small and only used 4 colours, red, white, blue and grey.

I have made some more adjustments since this build which should improve the back end.

    Cheers JTF
