hello everyone,

After a six month absence, I'm back. Now I've got my son (9 y.o.) interested in his first passenger train so I need to improve on the 4 x 8 layout to accommodate the longer rolling stock. Thinking of something along the line of a folded dogbone but definitely would like a grade separation. Picked up a few bridges along the way. Anyways, glad to be back. If I only had a million dollars...

Is 4x8 still your maximum size? Are you in HO scale?

hi Kevin,

We're HO scalers. I'm thinking of going about twice the size in square feet. At one time, I have thought of two square-ish areas with a shelf setup in between. Personally, I like some switching, not just around and around it goes. Need at least a 22" radius min. on one line, preferably 24" for the passenger cars.
