i just got back from the ottumwa train show!!!

    it was small but i hit the jack pot!

    heres what i got........

    9301 lionel operating U.S. mail car with box

    6-1868 1978 (year i was born) service station special limited edition set with all the box's for each engine/car and the big box that the smaller box's go in.

    set includes: minneapolis & st. louis gp-9 diesel 8866, min. & st. louis covered hopper 9213, lionel lines circus/cattle car 9408, erie lackawanna box car 9726, sunoco 3 dome tank car 9138, and a min & st. louis iliuminated bay window caboose 9271

    and 2 marx tinplate cars

    well seeing that i just spent 255.00 today , i better hold off on buying anymore for a few weeks.

    (im lucky to still be breathing after i got home.....lol)

    i said to her ....." put you said i could go......." and i told her before i went that i cant go and not buy something and you said to go anyway...." lol

    shes not to mad, she just likes to give me a hard time...lol

    i always pay the bills before buying trains...lol

    When I go to a train show it doesn't matter if I take $20 or if I take $300, it's a pretty sure bet I'll spend it all. But as long as you can afford what you spend, it doesn't matter all that much.

    I pretty much follow the same rule.
    Since I make the majority of the money in the house and handle all the finances, my wife can't say too much if I buy something. Every once in awhile she pouts a bit but then I get her something she wants and it's OK again. ;)
