    pack an extra swim suit

Even better... Travel from New York, NY to London, UK. That must be the most direct route - the computer calculated it!

Seems to work going from just about anywhere in the US to Europe. I tried Houston to Moscow and looks like I'd have to be a triathlete for that as well. Alas, they don't seem to recommend swimming the Pacific. Couldn't get directions from Houston to Tokyo or Honolulu, no driving route available.

I couldn't even get from Seoul to Tokyo. According to Google maps Korea doesn't have any roads !!!!

Try Anchorage, Alaska to Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Be very careful taking that left in Homer. "The road" may be "seasonally closed."

I happen to have a picture of the recommended highway. Drivers should follow the directions carefully, don't make that sharp right too soon.

Interestingly though, no matter which destination in Europe you select, they always have you swim the ocean to the same place in France. And there doesn't seem to be a "shortest swim" option you can select.

Yeah, you'd probably have to be movin' pretty quick to get across that road in the summer months....
