I have a bachmann DD40XA Centennial Union Pacific locomotive. Well the plastic gear between the axle halves have a crack in the plastic were the shafts on the wheels goes into the plastic gear. I sent this locomotive into Bachmann but they were unable to fix it do to the unit not being made anymore, or having any parts left. They offered a new loco of a different type but I still want it for the fact of it being a DD40XA. So I had them return the loco back to me . Does anyone out there know of a way this can be fixed or were I can find parts for this loco. I really like to gets this one running again. I even thought of taking out the gear that is bad and finding a straight tube and let it free wheel. I open to any help on this.
