That's not the first time this has happened! I have a fairly recent (2000+) MR with plans to scratch built the CP Intermodal (I think that's what they're called) car. The author's first remarks are that this is a great car to build, since they are not commercially available. Later in the magazine (maybe the inside back cover) there is an announcement for a new CP Intermodal redy-to-run...

thanks for the kind words. I had a lot of fun building it, never thought I had the skills to make a car that would go down the tracks when complete, but it goes!

I am going to try another similar car in N, this time a Magor 74' Paul Bunyan pulpwood flat, one of the Maine Central cars. Just need to find some time....
