    Dear fellows
This is my first msg in this forum.
I´m from sunny Brazil, very south of the border....
I'm a ex-member of Brazilian Air Force where I worked for 30 years from 1960 to 1989 as a mechanic of such airplanes as Gloster F8, Lockheed T-33, North American B-25 and T-6, Northrop F-5E, Bell UH-1D, etc...
Now, with 66, retired, my hobby is to make scale models, mainly at 1/72 scale, of the planes used in Brazil, civilian and military, since the very beginnings to the these days. Most of them are scratch-built.
I hope to be useful to the fellows who may need or want pictures, facts, informations, about the airplanes used by Brazil.
I hope too you can understand my words as my English language knowledge is something precarious....Please, don't laugh !
    Best regards to all l:wave:

    Alva, welcome to the forum.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your English.

It is absolutely great to see someone come onto a forum and say, in effect:

"Hey, I'm new here, is there anything I can do for you."

    Eu saudo-o, senhor.

    Dear friends
I have found posts only about card or paper aircraft models !
Am I wrong or plastic models have no place here ?
If there is a place for plastic model aircrafts , please tell which one.

Alva, I'm posting a link to a site familiar to many on this forum, but first:

I make models in card, plastic, fiberglass, plaster - whatever, it doesn't matter.

Please, try a card model. You'll be hooked. Almost every build here is showing how to build a model you can get as a free download, so your costs of trying this way of doing things are minimal.

Scale-models forum is UK based, but truly international. Here's a link to their aircraft section:
    Aircraft - Scale Models

    Please do come back.

    Thanks, Logicman
    I already made card models.
I made a few yars ago a Catalina 1/50 scale of card and wood which won a first prize in a modelling event.
But I prefer plastics and wood, they are stronger !.

Ahaha, everyone has their preferences :D Well this is of course a cardmodel forum, so I'm afraid you won't be able to find a lot of plastic lying around here (although most of us probably build both) ;)

...Plastic models are stronger, yes, but do they survive when you drop them on the floor...? Just a thought :D
