I'm taking a shot in the dark here that anyone might be able to help. I am having a crappy time getting my antenna into the antenna tube and now part of the antenna has broken? Any advice?

If the antenna wire on your receiver is broken it will need to be repaired, otherwise you will encounter radio problems. Best to contact the manufacturer and find out what the proper length should be and try to repair using the piece that broke off.

I sometimes use a light silicone lube on the antenna and tube to get the wire through.

Ya first thing get that wire fixed or as Steve said problems could come about, as far as getting your wire up the tube dish soap, wd40, even a little spit should do the trick.
