Just to let any interested parties know that Harold Minkwitz (hminky) has one of his excellent "how-tos" in the July issue of Railroad Model Craftsman. This one is on making styrene look like weathered wood. This tutorial is accessible here on the Gauge, but if you're like me, it's also nice to have it on paper: you can prop it up on the workbench while you practise his techniques, or peruse the article while enjoying a cool drink on the patio. Way to go, Harold! :thumb: :thumb:

The weathered styrene article was terrific. Just another one of those instances where one is never too old to learn something new. Also another reason I've dropped MR in favor of RMC.

I wish I could get some of my wood weathering to look as good as that plastic.
