Has anyone built "N Scale Model Railroad That Grows"

Hi everyone I'm a new member here and would like to know if anyone has that book and if you have built the layout. Is there any problems or tips you can give me. It looks like a great little layout and it will fit under my Lionel layout when not in use.

Book

I have the book, and was intrigued with the layout at first, especially with the possibility of doing it in stages. The problem I found was the 40" reach, unless you have access all the way around. I'm actually doing a variation of the Carolina Central layout on a 32" door, instead.

Hi Kpoole Is the Carolina Central layout in a book? Do you think it's a better layout? I'm very new at this and any help you can give me is very appreciated.

The original Carolina Central was covered in this book:
Amazon.com: N Scale Model Railroading: Getting Started in the Hobby (Model Railroader Books): Books: Martin J. McGuirk
Model Railroader also covered it again in the December 2006 issue, where it was expanded to fit a 32" door, allowing for broader curves. A search of the forums here, or at nscale.net should yield some results for you.
