The Grande Valley's locos have looked pretty much like this since 1992.Prior to that they were either powder blue or a light grey.

I now have a new colour scheme picked out and while the scheme it self is set in stone (more or less :D )I would like your imput as to a few items.

Here are some pics of the new scheme.

What do you think of the grey handrails? I like them but want others thoughts (they are for the UP C30-7 and KATO has them in stock).

Do you think there are too many colours? The lettering and road # will be white like the sidesill stripe. The logo will remain the same as on the geep in the top pic.

John,As I said in chat last night I like the new scheme(nick:The white face scheme   :D ) I also like the old scheme as well as your thought about using GT colors at one time.About the gray hand rails. Many railroads paint their handrails different then the body. For example:

So,that would be up to the GVR management if they want to spend the money for different color hand rails.

The final colour scheme will be the red(including handrails) with a light grey lowhood, cabface and long hood end.The sill stripe and lettering will be white.

Robin the blue and yellow scheme will be around for a long time as only new purchases for the GVR system will get the new scheme for quite awhile yet.
