    The primary spotting feature of the EMD Gp30 is the bulge in the roof that starts above the windshield and tapers back about half the length of the long hood. If the unit has dynamic brakes, the bulge tapers to roof height ridht at the rear end of the dynamic brake blisters. This bulge is the same width as the long and short hoods, but narrower than the cab.
