Torrington, Ct.
Those who sit in air-conditioned offices and control the purse strings for the Central New England, have determind that, with the purchase of both theC44-9W and the SD-70M, that keeping GP-9 #6823(ex:NH 1212) is not cost effective. There for the old girl is heading out to pasture. Living out a long, productive life. She will sadly be missed on the rails. Local traffic will now be headed by GP-35's #76 and 77.
