I plan to make the model in 1:700 scale, so there might not be as much detail as I'd like. That being said, I hope to include miniature aircraft to make up for the lack of detail. So far, the hull and flight deck have been drawn up; currently working on the superstructure.

The problem with having one aircraft carrier, is if you don't have the 16 other ships, and who knows how many submarines, and satellites to go along with it, it is just a big target . In WWII however, that ship would have been devastating if not sunk right away. The Bismark would have been sunk after this one was.

Great model dude! With some greeblin, you could have a really nice carrier! :)

Not only that, there was the small problem of what to use for an air arm. Landing a Bf-109 on that thing with it's tiny wing?

They actually designed carrier versions of the Bf 109 and the Ju87 for service aboard the Graf, and a few of them were produced as the Bf 109T and the Ju87C, respectively. They had tailhooks, and I think that the Ju87C had folding wing panels. There was also a torpedo bomber version of the Fw 190, but I don't think that it was ever intended for carrier use.
