What will happen if I use 89 octane fuel with my 30 cc Homelite Boat engine?? Will it burn up my piston??? If anyone can help me , I'd appreciate it. Thanks

The Gas engines run better on low octane gas.

your homelite is a 2cycle motor you must have oil in the gas
i believe it has a 32 to 1 oil mix
strait gas will burn it up
it needs the oil & gas to lube the piston & rod bearings or it will lock up while running
the oil in the gas is the only lubercanit for the whole motor
    dont run strait gas
    any octance will work good
hope this helps you out & dont forget the oil
