Hey it's getting AWFULLY close to June.

I think I will join in for the fun of it! Come on all you others!

I choose Canon's Komatsu Loading Shovel.

Canon 3D Papercraft - Wheel Loader

    It's big, it's yellow and it's free!

Perhaps I will get motivated to get back to the ships!

    Cromwell Mk IV

I desided to change my entry to this contest. Although I love the Lilla Weneda kit, I want to add lots of extras to the kit that would disqualify it for the contest like a lit cabin and deck accessories. I will continue the build but until then I desided to do the Cromwell Mk IV from Thaipaperwork. You can download it here. Here is my build thread.

    K. I have a question! So for a joint, I'd have to use something that portrays a cylinder, rather than a rolled up sheet? Is a toothpick ok?
  6. Toddlea

    Toddlea Member

Yes, as long as the finished part represents a part that originally exists in paper.
  7. Soaring

Exists in paper? Do you mean, "In paper" Or, in the Paper model?

For example: If a ship's mast was made of dowel instead of paper, then it is fine. If an extra flag mast was added that wasn't represented in the kit, then no.

Ahh, so if I add a joint that isn't in the original model..It won't be eligible.
Well then, may I change my entry if this is a complication?

Joints, tabs and internal support are fine. That is all part of this hobby. It is external add-ons I was referring to.
  11. Soaring

Ok, but is it still acceptable if I create templates for add-ons for the model in paper? I'm confused :)

Please note contest rules to clarify modifications.

K, is it alright if I change my entry? I'd like it to be the Vagyr Flagship by Yessmaster. Eh, here's the redo for my entry, if it's possible ^.^

    Participant: Soaring
Vagyr Flagship: YessMasster's Homeworld Paper Models

    Eagles Are Done

I have completed the building of the Canon eagles Canon 3D Papercraft - Bald Eagle in three sizes.

There are more pictures, a tally of time spent and my overall feeling for this model in my build thread:

Thank you so much for having this contest. It not only got me started on building a model I have been wanting to do since I first saw it, but also got me doing a build thread. I never thought I would do a build thread, but enjoyed doing that almost as much as building the models.
