Foster-Miller MAARS Military fighting robot

I seem to be having a phase involving military robots right now, so I might as well continue it! sign1
I have just started a model of the Foster-Miller MAARS robot, a follow-up on their Talon robots. What I have so far is the chassis as well as the treads. I am still drawing up the gun assembly, which will be able to rotate :thumb:

Hi Roc.. I take it thats how the completed item will look shown in the small 3d view in the screen shot?

lol, that's just a reference photo. All of my models are hand drawn using computer drawing programs. The only times i use software to unfold shapes is siatki, which I use only to unfold cones. All other geometry and unfolding is done with paper and pencil :mrgreen:

The model is complete, and I have also finished the testbuild. Overall, the model is rather accurate, although I don't quite like the way it's put together. I will post photos of the finished prototype when I get my camera back
