    During a chat with Spitfire about street lamps and city stuff in general I mentioned a site I stubbled onto that has some interesting info and Photos of these, and a whole lot more.

    Thanks for the link! I've ridden the Montauk branch, and the Port Washington branch. There were no EMDs then, electric(outside third rail),and ALCOs. Some of the pics brought back memories.

    I was lead to this site about a year or so ago and I found it to be fascinating to say the least.

    Wow, t. that is an awesome site! An urban paradise....will take a lot of time to see all there is to see there.

    Anyway, here's a pic, not sure where I originally got it, that shows the kind of streetlight I'm looking for. I included the whole shot because those storefronts are just sooooo retro. It's looking more and more like I'm going to have to scratchbuild them, maybe fiber optic as we discussed in the chat.
