The site with the Japanese Trout have north american trout also.
Brown, Rainbow, Grayling, and some others. I don't remember witch
icon, but it's on the bottom of the page. I agree that more American fish
    would be nice.

    Hi All,

I highly recommend the trout site. I've built several of them and really enjoyed the results. For a real skin look I recommend spraying the card stock with white irridescent acrylic before printing (seal with acrylic matte after printout). The resulting figure will be suprisingly life like...., a school of the trout arranged hanging from a bamboo framework makes a nice mobile for the entrance to a sushi restaurant.

How heavy are you spraying that on Gil? as it sounds like an excellant idea
maybe pearl clear woukd work better?

The coating is applied until the surface looks somewhat like white styrofoam. Clear irridescent is available as a water color wash and should work well. This method is used by taxidermists to good effect.

    Thanks for the info Gil
Now that you've reminded me I've used this to build fishing lures and it does work well .... Hmmm now I need to dig thru my old bag of tricks again and see what I can pull out of it :)
