Fire Stations

Hey, has anyone built their own fire station ??? I know it's an offbeat topic, but I got a couple of fire units for Christmas, and picked up another one recently, and I've got a Boley hazmat unit on reserve, so I figure it's only logical to include a fire station on the layout. But I don't really like the Walthers' one, I'd like to do something myself.

So if you have a pic of a fire station, or have some pointers, or built one yourself, please pipe up !!! THANKS.

Don't know about you but.....

Me and the missus were in Banff last weekend (29 Jan-1Feb) for a quiet get-away...

BTW Not a good time to do any out-of-the-way trail hiking or skiing with them avalanches..

I don't know what scale you do, but in HO I bashed one from a DPM Schultz Garage as it matches the feel of the local volunteer departments in these parts who use old buildings. In fact all the bashing I did was attach a sign and a red led. FRED
