I'm going camera crazy. I just wanted to post pictures of FG's P-6E Hawk. Some time ago, I decided to do a quick build of this to enhance my paper-modeling skills. This is a nice model, and was a fast build - not difficult at all. The wheel-pants were the most difficult - hence I used superglue to do them. BAD MOVE. That's why they have shiny edges.

The last picture is Molly. She's the reason I keep my models "high and dry".

    col. kurtz,

This model was designed as 1/60 scale. I scanned them 1.9x to get 1/32 scale.

There is also a design flaw... the leading wing struts are too short causing the wing to slant down at the front. I redesigned these in CAD, and then used them.

Very nice - I might try this one next myself.

    Very nice build

One question: Do you have to reinforce the wings? As any typical fg design this don't use internal formers. I think in a 1/32 scale this can be a problem.

Actually, using thick cardstock makes the wings plenty stiff. In the case of the hawk, the wing struts help alot too.

Nice looking build! Sometimes it's fun to relax with a nice easy model.
