i dont know what formats google sketchup uses. if you can find that out, the converter will convert to a large range of file formats. most programs will allow jpeg or bitmap.

Yes!!! I have done it! :-D

I used Deep Exploration and some tutorials from Erick's Models to put the textures on the model :-D

P.S.:This model was just for testing

Hey guys. I know nothing about this game but the two ships I've seen look GOOD! Any chance of some preview pics of the various ships for us nebies to look at?

Jaffro, I may be interested in tackling some of the meshes.

This is the curent model that I am working on
    Its name is "hawk"

I have cut the model in parts so that when I put it in pepakura it will be more easy to make the model
I have simplificated the model so that will be more easy to asemble

I still need to work on it I hope I will finish it soon:mrgreen:

    P.S.:The person in the back doesen't mater:mrgreen:

If anyone feels like doing a Caldari Navy Raven let me know... it was my favourite ship out of all in my collection when I stopped playing..... I'd love a model of one to sit on my desk to remind me how many hours of my life I wasted in that game :D
I've extracted a raven mesh but have been unable to locate the navy version of the texture yet, it was a lot darker and cooler to look at than the standard mesh.

There is a new graphic engine in the game now, I'd love to see some of the new stuff but haven't downloaded and installed the new engine version yet... I've seen some screenshots though and some of the models and textures look very nice now.

I just found this, it's a size comparison of all the ships in eve prior to the last expansion or two I think...

The "Harpy" model shown above is seen third from the left in the top right corner... Those big buggers are Titans, the Harpy is a frigate.

Dialup beware, this is about 900k but well worth it...

    "The "Harpy" model shown above..."

    You mean my model?
Its "Hawk" in fact not "Harpy". "Harpy" has a lot of guns on it

Sorry, not sure what happened there...

try that one... and if that doesn't work, you can access that link from this page...

I originally just linked to the pic itself but it's huge and it threw the whole thread out of whack pretty bad :D

Sorry the4ce, I keep thinking Harpy cos I also had one of those. :D

I've always thought the Caldari ships would be the best for card models, being the flat, boxy shapes that they are, closely followed by Minmatar... the Amaar and Gallente ships have a lot of spherical and rounded stuff all over them which although do-able, would probably be a P.I.T.A to build.
