engine jargon

    im hearing about all these different engine sizes and numbers. what do they all stand for? my nitro has a torque 16. then theres a 2.5.. whats the difference

    when the number has a period before it that means cubic centimeters. it is .16 cubic inches. the 2.5 from traxxas is in cubic inches. it is 2.5 cubic inches. the 2.5 is equal to .15 cubic centimeters

    the higher the better? its just a little confusing when in electric, lower is better

    well not always better. i like the big blocks better but others prefer the small blocks like the t-maxx. the savage has a bigblock .25. i find that you can get more power out of the bigblocks.
