Empire Strikes Back Hoth Binoculars

I am wondering if the more experienced modelers on the forum can indicate how difficult ti might be fore a n00b like me to make this. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3568/3474756651_29553310ae.jpg
I currently can't even find other pics of these, but thought it would make a good project to start with. I had a 1:1 model of Luke's ROTJ lightsaber, but the files got wiped in a tragic incident. While I am getting over that enough to begin it again, I was toying with the idea of something like these binoculars.

The shape is fairly 'simple' as far as things go. Best to watch (and rewatch) the relevent sections of the film a few times and (if you have a dvd drive in your computer) take screen captures for reference while modeling.

Sweet. I used that site when I was researching the 1:1 lightsaber I mentioned. I forgot about it for this. They do have references for the Electrobinoculars I am looking for. Thanks Millenium.
